Do you have what it takes to be a franchisee?

Standard

Thinking of starting your own business? Could franchising be right for you?

Our franchisees come from all sorts of backgrounds, from IT managers to stay-at-home parents, and we firmly believe that there is no single background or education level which determines success when it comes to franchising.

Having said that, there are some common traits which are normally shared by successful franchisees. While the list below is by no means exhaustive, if you can identify with them, maybe franchising is right for you.

Keen to Learn

You don’t need to have experience running your own business — many of our franchisees don’t. You just need to be able to make the most of the business model that is already in place by following the concept and the training and keeping in close communication with the franchisor whilst you’re learning. Every good franchisor will provide franchisees with thorough training and head office support but franchisees also have to be willing to receive guidance and advice. Owning a franchise means you are running your own business on a day-to-day basis but you can still contact your head office if you’re unsure about something. The franchisor and franchisee relationship is a two way street, so it’s essential that you are able to communicate openly and honestly.

A team player

You must like the idea of being part of a bigger network; Franchising works because of collaboration. If you decide to become a Cleanhome franchisee, you will be tapping into a pool of existing franchisees who have already paved the way for your success. Sharing best practice with like-minded professionals will not only help you build a successful business but will also make you feel like you’re not in it alone.

Energetic

Starting a business may require long hours and hard work during the initial start-up phase. Successful franchisees have the energy and stamina to work the long hours and do what is required to get the business up and running.

Passionate

Successful franchisees are excited about the brand that they have chosen and about building a business. To run your own business, you really need to believe in the product or service you’re selling and to know that there is a need out there in the market for it.  If you are confident about the franchise product or service that you’re offering, then you will be passionate about selling it and clients will pick up on that.

A People Person

If your chosen business is dealing with people then you will need good people skills. A genuine liking of meeting and talking to people and a good product or service means that your potential clients will see your integrity and trust you to deliver what you say you will.

Getting into business is not for everyone, however doing it through a franchise allows you to minimise the risks and can help you make the most of your personal strengths. Would you like to know more? Give me a call on 07791 044434 or email me on headoffice@cleanhomeuk.com
